650 drones target Moscow as oil terminal burns

dagbladet.no (Swedish) —

Moscow's mayor claims 650 drones targeted the city overnight, with most intercepted, while a major oil terminal near Moscow is burning after reported Ukrainian strikes. The attack marks a significant escalation in the conflict. The Kyiv Independent reports Ukrainian drones hit the Volodarsk Linear Production and Dispatch Center near Konstantinovo, about 40 kilometers from Moscow, a key hub for oil transport and storage. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 105 drones were destroyed during approach, and social media videos show the terminal ablaze. This follows a late-September drone attack that damaged a Moscow refinery, which Sobyanin called the largest such assault on the city. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated long-range strikes hit the Moscow region again, referencing the refinery, while a June attack also targeted the Kapotnja facility.
