Ukrainian drones strike Moscow region's largest oil depot, Volodarskaya
Ukrainian drones attacked the Moscow region overnight on October 6, targeting the Volodarskaya oil pumping station near Konstantinovo, causing a large fire. At least two fuel reservoirs are burning at the site, according to the monitoring channel Exilenova+. The Volodarskaya station is the largest oil depot in the Moscow region, operated by Transneft – Upper Volga, with a storage capacity of about 250,000 cubic meters. It serves as a key dispatch hub for fuel pipelines supplying airports including Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and the Chkalovsky military airfield. The facility handles major flows of gasoline and diesel from Ryazan and Moscow refineries, and its disruption critically affects fuel distribution for civilian and military logistics in central Russia. This attack follows similar Ukrainian strikes on oil facilities in Volgograd and Samara regions on October 2.
