Russian Airstrike on Kharkiv Kills 3, Injures 29, Including Children
Russian guided bombs struck residential buildings in Kharkiv on Monday, killing at least three people and wounding 29, including three children, as rescuers searched for survivors. The attack came a day after President Volodymyr Zelensky said the city had "defeated Putin." Mayor Ihor Terekhov said at least three guided aerial bombs hit the Slobidskyi district around 3 p.m., damaging homes and setting warehouses ablaze, with people possibly trapped under rubble. A Russian drone also struck a gas station in the Kyivskyi district, and a five-story apartment building was damaged, according to regional officials. The assault followed a late Sunday attack that killed one and wounded six, and came hours after Zelensky praised Kharkiv's resistance during a briefing with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Guided bombs, known as KABs, are precise weapons capable of causing extensive structural damage.
