Ukraine's largest drone attack on Moscow kills two, wounds nine
Ukraine launched a major drone attack on the Moscow region, killing two people and injuring nine others, according to Russian officials. The overnight assault involved 650 drones, marking one of the heaviest strikes on the capital in two years. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said most drones were intercepted by air defense, while regional governor Andrei Vorobyov reported 185 drones destroyed or neutralized across 16 municipalities. The attack disrupted operations at four Moscow airports, with temporary flight restrictions imposed. The attack follows a pattern of escalating mutual strikes on infrastructure between Russia and Ukraine. Moscow also reported a separate Ukrainian drone attack in occupied Zaporizhzhia killing three people, and vowed to intensify strikes on Kyiv as winter approaches.
