Russia strikes Zhytomyr and Khmelnytskyi with jet-powered Shahed drones, injuring four

Russia attacked Khmelnytskyi and Zhytomyr with jet-powered Shahed drones on Saturday, September 5, damaging buildings and injuring four people, including a minor. A fire was reported at a Nova Poshta branch in Zhytomyr. The Air Force reported the drones at 16:10, with a three-story residential building damaged in Khmelnytskyi. Three injured were hospitalized, while one received on-site aid, according to regional head Serhiy Tiurin. Zhytomyr's strike hit a Nova Poshta office, causing a large fire. Ukraine uses aviation, missile systems, and other air defenses against jet drones, and is developing new interceptor drones. At least four such interceptors are undergoing combat testing, as stated by presidential advisor Serhiy Beskrestnov.
