Russian drone hits Kyiv security service, wounding 12

A Russian drone struck Ukraine's security service headquarters in Kyiv on Friday, wounding twelve people, according to Ukrainian authorities. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the attack deliberately targeted the SBU office in the building. The strike came as U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner prepared to visit Moscow and Kyiv with a proposal to end the war. Zelenskyy said Ukraine will refrain from airstrikes during negotiations and called on Russia to reciprocate. The attack coincided with a massive overnight Russian assault on the Odesa region that killed one person, while strikes in Dnipro killed two police officers. Ukrainian drones also hit oil depots in Sochi, Russia, and a Russian-made drone was found in Finland.
