Ukraine has proposed a ceasefire to Russia, but Moscow has not responded. The proposal was conveyed to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, according to Ukrainian presidential office head Kyrylo Budanov. Budanov said the proposal covered both strikes on Ukraine and front-line combat operations. He noted that drones are still flying, indicating ongoing hostilities. US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to visit Ukraine on September 6, following a trip to Russia. Budanov suggested Russia may refrain from attacking Kyiv that day due to the American officials' presence.
