Trump sends envoys to Moscow and Kyiv with plan to end Ukraine war

US President Donald Trump announced Friday he is sending envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff to Moscow and Kyiv with a proposal to end the four-year war in Ukraine, stating they carry a plan to "terminate the war." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed a ceasefire during the envoys' visit, which is scheduled for Sunday in Kyiv, following a Russian drone attack on Ukraine's Security Service headquarters that wounded at least 12 people. Russia has not officially confirmed the visit.
