Ukrainian drones strike Sochi oil depot and Russian vessel
Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian city of Sochi overnight, causing a fire at an oil depot and striking a Russian vessel, according to Russian authorities and Ukrainian military footage. The Ukrainian navy said the ship, the Nefrit, supported oil and gas operations, including offshore platform maintenance and underwater technical work. A separate fire was reported near Sochi's port, though the facility was not identified. Ukrainian drones also hit an industrial-military plant in Sterlitamak, over 1,300 kilometers from Ukraine, which produces aviation fuel for Russia's defense industry. On the diplomatic front, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Donald Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, may visit Kyiv in the coming days for their first trip to Ukraine. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin did not rule out a peace deal at the Vladivostok economic forum. A Russian attack on Odessa killed one person and injured three others.
