US envoys Witkoff and Kushner arrive in Moscow for Ukraine peace talks
US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Moscow on Saturday to discuss ending the Russia-Ukraine war, and were received by Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev. Dmitriev has participated in previous US-Russia talks and attended all of Witkoff's and Kushner's earlier meetings with President Vladimir Putin. The envoys plan to travel to Ukraine on Sunday, following President Donald Trump's announcement of a new, unspecified US proposal. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russia targeted two Ukrainian airports ahead of the envoys' planned Kyiv trip. Significant differences remain between Moscow and Kyiv, with the Kremlin reiterating its unchanged demands that Ukraine cede four regions and drop NATO ambitions.
