US envoys Witkoff and Kushner to visit Kyiv and Moscow with peace plan
US peace envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will visit Kyiv and Moscow this weekend with a proposal to end the war in Ukraine, President Donald Trump announced Friday. The trip aims to break a diplomatic deadlock. The envoys are expected in Moscow on Saturday and Kyiv on Sunday, their first visits to the Ukrainian capital since Trump returned to office. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the visit, saying Kyiv would pause strikes during the trip and urging Moscow to do the same. The announcement came as Russian strikes on Kamianske in the Dnipropetrovsk region killed four overnight, per local authorities. Zelenskyy also reported a Russian drone hit the SBU headquarters in Kyiv, ordering a "mirror" response.
