Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with Vladimir Putin in Moscow, with talks lasting over three hours before the American delegation left the Kremlin, according to Russian state media RIA Novosti. Witkoff and Kushner arrived in Moscow on Saturday, visiting the Kremlin after a working lunch with Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev. On Sunday, the American negotiators are expected in Kyiv. Earlier on September 5, the Kremlin announced Putin had ordered a three-day halt to strikes on Kyiv from midnight, and President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed readiness to observe a pause in aerial attacks on cities involved in the negotiation process.
