Ukrainian Drone Strike Hits Oil Depot in Sochi, Causing Massive Fire
A Ukrainian drone strike targeted an oil depot in Adler, Russia, causing a large fire in Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, during the night of September 4. The attack also reportedly hit a Russian air defense division near Sirius. Videos published by the Krymskiy Veter monitoring channel show the moment of impact on the Adler oil depot, which belongs to Rosneft. OSINT analysts say a Russian S-300/S-400 air defense division near the Psou River and the Abkhazia border may have also been struck, with witnesses recording a massive blaze afterward. The Russian operational headquarters for Krasnodar Krai confirmed a mass drone attack on Sochi and Sirius overnight. The Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ identified the oil depot as the target, while the Astra Telegram channel reported the strike on the air defense unit based on eyewitness photos.
