A Ukrainian drone strike targeted an oil depot in Adler, Russia, causing a large fire in Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, during the night of September 4. OSINT analysts say a Russian S-300/S-400 air defense division near the Psou River and the Abkhazia border may have also been struck, with witnesses recording a massive blaze afterward. The Russian operational headquarters for Krasnodar Krai confirmed a mass drone attack on Sochi and Sirius overnight. The Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ identified the oil depot as the target, while the Astra Telegram channel reported the strike on the air defense unit based on eyewitness photos.
