Ukraine's air defense repels massive Russian drone and missile attack
On the night of September 3-4, Russia attacked Ukraine with a Kh-31P guided aviation missile and 121 strike drones, including Shaheds, S8000 "Banderol," "Gerbera," and decoy types. Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized most of the incoming targets. By 09:30, air defense had shot down or suppressed 103 enemy drones across northern, southern, eastern, and central Ukraine. The attack involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. Fifteen locations were hit, with debris falling at six more sites. The assault caused damage in several regions, including a warehouse fire near Kyiv and casualties in Odessa, where one person was killed. The number of wounded in Kyiv increased during the morning.
