Kyiv strike injures 12, two seriously

The number of people injured in a Russian strike on Kyiv on September 4 has risen to 12, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, with two in serious condition. The attack hit the Shevchenkivskyi district. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian forces used a drone to target the SBU security service building in central Kyiv, directing it at the chief's office. He ordered an "adequate, tangible, and, if possible, mirror" response. The fire from the attack was extinguished, but the building's ceiling and outer wall were destroyed. Russia regularly attacks Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure with drones, missiles, and other weapons. Ukrainian authorities and international organizations classify these strikes as war crimes, noting they are deliberate and target life-support systems, which legal experts say may constitute genocide.
