Witkoff and Kushner may visit Moscow and Kyiv on September 5-6

US President's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are reportedly planning to visit Moscow and Kyiv on September 5-6, according to TASS, Kyiv Independent, and Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, though official dates remain unconfirmed. Honcharenko said the delegation would arrive in Moscow on Saturday and Kyiv on Sunday, with the Kyiv leg reportedly coordinated with Russia. A Kyiv Independent source said plans could change, as Witkoff fears traveling to Kyiv after Russian warnings about the visit's danger. Honcharenko claimed a Russian drone attacked two Yak-40 aircraft at Kyiv's Zhuliany airport on September 4, allegedly intentionally amid the planned visit. Ukrainian President Zelensky previously confirmed preliminary visit dates, while Kremlin spokesman Peskov said Moscow will announce the visit when known.
