Slovakia Summons Russian Ambassador Over Kyiv Drone Strike
Slovakia summoned the Russian ambassador after a Russian drone strike hit the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) building in Kyiv, located near the Slovak embassy's consular section. Bratislava strongly condemned the attack and called on Russia to refrain from actions threatening civilian lives. Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar said the consular office was used on a limited basis and was empty at the time of the strike. He urged both sides to avoid further escalation that increases tension and hinders peaceful conflict resolution. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the drone hit the SBU chief's office and ordered a mirrored response. A presidential adviser suggested a Russian agent may have guided the drone via a nearby radio relay.
