Russian drone strike on Kyiv security service injures seven

A Russian drone struck the headquarters of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) in Kyiv on Friday, injuring at least seven people. President Volodymyr Zelensky called the attack deliberate and promised a "tangible" response. The strike hit the SBU's central building, which Zelensky said was aimed "directly at the office of the chief." The attack occurred as US-backed diplomatic efforts to end the conflict were resuming, with envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner reportedly planning visits to Kyiv and Moscow. The SBU has been linked to major operations against Russian targets, including the 2022 Kerch Bridge attack. The blast also destroyed a nearby cafe, and Kyiv has faced ten consecutive days of drone attacks.
