Putin meets Witkoff and Kushner in Moscow to discuss Ukraine war
Russian President Vladimir Putin met with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Moscow to discuss ending the Ukraine war, now in its fourth year. Putin called the situation "difficult" ahead of the talks. The meeting, initiated by the US, marks the eighth private session between Putin and Witkoff and the third round of Kushner's negotiations. Putin said Moscow- Washington contacts are always beneficial, while Witkoff conveyed President Trump's best wishes and gratitude for a ceasefire during the delegation's visit. The previous Putin-US negotiator meeting occurred on January 22, with Russian officials Yuri Ushakov and Kirill Dmitriev also present at the latest talks.
