Putin Halts Kyiv Strikes for Three Days as US Envoys Visit Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a three-day suspension of attacks on Kyiv starting at midnight, citing talks with US negotiators, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The move follows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's complaint about renewed Russian strikes on the capital. US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Moscow today and are expected to meet Zelensky on Sunday. Zelensky had earlier denounced overnight Russian attacks on Kyiv and Boryspil airports as deliberate provocations linked to preparations for a potential US aircraft landing in Ukraine. Russian forces captured the village of Kurtovka in Donetsk, while Ukraine proposed a truce covering cities and front lines without receiving a response. Five civilians died in Ukrainian bombardments on Russian-controlled Lugansk region.
