The envoys arrived in Russia on September 5 to present a peace proposal, with a Kyiv visit expected September 6. Zelensky had urged Moscow to refrain from strikes during negotiations, and the Kremlin said Putin ordered no attacks on Kyiv from September 5-8, though Russian strikes continued elsewhere in Ukraine.
