Trump envoys head to Moscow and Kyiv with Ukraine peace proposal

Donald Trump's envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are expected in Moscow and Kyiv this weekend carrying a proposal to end the war in Ukraine, according to AFP. Trump said he sent them to see if progress can be made, stating there are good chances of success. The envoys will reportedly meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Saturday and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Sunday, per Axios and Russian state media. Zelensky has proposed an aerial truce during the visit, while a Russian attack on Kamianske early Saturday killed at least four people. The trip follows a rare CIA director visit to Moscow last week and comes amid intensified drone and missile attacks on both sides. A Russian drone struck the SBU headquarters in central Kyiv on Friday, injuring 15 people.
