Fighting continues on the front because the enemy has not ceased its aggression against Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military stated that a "silence regime" cannot be one-sided or asymmetrical, as it would endanger Ukrainian soldiers' lives. The General Staff's communications department told Ukrainian Pravda that defense operation tasks are being fully executed and Ukrainian forces continue their planned defense. Before a visit by US President Donald Trump's special representatives, Ukrainian authorities attempted to introduce a temporary ceasefire from September 5 to 8, but occupiers prevented the plan's implementation.
