Kyiv Oblast hit by Russian drone attack on September 4

Explosions were heard in Kyiv Oblast on the morning of September 4 as Russia attacked the region with jet-powered drones, with local air defense attempting to shoot down the unmanned aircraft. Air raid alerts spread to the Obukhiv, Brovary, and Boryspil districts after 7:45 AM. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration confirmed air defense operations, urging residents to stay in shelters. Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko reported drone debris falling on warehouse premises, with no casualties and the fire quickly contained. The attack follows a separate strike in Kropyvnytskyi where a nine-story residential building's roof caught fire, injuring one person who was hospitalized. Fires also broke out at an infrastructure facility and dry grass, with a farm building damaged.
