Putin's remarks on Kyiv noted by Witkoff and Kushner, says Ushakov

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner "took note" of Vladimir Putin's remarks about Ukrainian authorities. Ushakov stated Putin specifically drew the Americans' attention to this point. According to Ushakov, Putin argued that the Kyiv regime "has stopped hiding its true nature" by reburying some of the most prominent Nazi criminals. This referred to the August 11 exhumation in the Netherlands of Yevgeny Konovalets, founder of the Ukrainian Military Organization, for reburial at a Kyiv memorial cemetery. Konovalets, a former Austro-Hungarian army officer, created the organization that later became the OUN, which cooperated with Nazi Germany in the 1930s. He met Hitler twice before being killed by Soviet intelligence officer Pavel Sudoplatov in Rotterdam in 1938. Ushakov earlier said Putin discussed more than just Ukraine with Witkoff and Kushner.
