U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner presented proposals to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Moscow on ways to end the war against Ukraine, according to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov. Ushakov said the American delegation was "seriously prepared" and offered concrete ideas for a settlement, calling the talks timely and useful for both sides. The meeting lasted over three hours on September 5. Trump previously said the proposal was not fundamentally new, while Bloomberg reported it may repeat ideas Moscow had already rejected. The specific content of the proposals has not been disclosed.
