US envoys present Putin with ideas to end Ukraine war
US envoys presented Russian President Vladimir Putin with "a series of ideas" to end the war in Ukraine during talks in Moscow, which the Kremlin described as constructive and frank. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said the American delegation, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, was thoroughly prepared and reiterated interest in a swift end to hostilities. Putin praised President Trump's efforts while reaffirming Russia's commitment to its military goals. Putin ordered Russian forces not to attack Kyiv for three days starting Saturday as the envoys travel to Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv is ready to refrain from strikes on Moscow until Monday, though Russia has not agreed to a broader ceasefire.
