US envoys meet Zelensky in Kyiv as Russian strikes continue

The Moscow meeting was described as constructive by Russian officials, but no concrete results were disclosed; both sides only mentioned "substantial plans" with results expected within weeks. Zelensky, joined by advisors from Germany, France, and the UK, stressed the need for security guarantees and a dignified peace agreement. Fighting continued despite a pledge to suspend strikes on capitals, with nine Ukrainian civilians killed in drone attacks and Ukrainian forces hitting targets in Russia, including an oil refinery. This marks the envoys' first visit to Kyiv.
