US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have completed their visit to Kyiv and have already left the Ukrainian capital, according to Ukrainian Railways. The company said it thanked the American representatives for their visit and wished them to return to Ukraine again. Witkoff and Kushner arrived in Kyiv after talks in Moscow with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, where they held contacts with the Ukrainian side regarding possible paths to ending Russia's war against Ukraine. On September 6, the special envoys of US President Donald Trump first arrived in Ukraine for negotiations on ending the war, meeting with Ukraine's president and representatives of Britain, Germany, and France. On September 5, they visited Moscow for talks with Putin, with a Russian official calling the visit an "important peacemaking visit."
