Zelensky meets Witkoff and Kushner in Kyiv as talks begin

He shared footage of the envoys' visit to St. Sophia Cathedral and confirmed the negotiations had started. Witkoff and Kushner arrived in Ukraine for the first time to discuss ending the war. The envoys visited Moscow on September 5 and held talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin said they presented their ideas on ending the war. Zelensky noted Ukrainian airports were ready to receive the delegation, but Russian forces prevented the Americans from using their plane.
