Ukraine's General Staff reports strikes on Ryazan refinery, airfield, and three air defense sites in Russia

Ukraine's General Staff reported striking Russia's Ryazan oil refinery, an airfield, and three air defense assets overnight into September 6, causing a fire at the refinery. The refinery, one of Russia's largest with a capacity of about 17 million tons of oil annually, was hit in Ryazan. In Rostov Oblast, Ukrainian forces struck the "Rostov-on-Don" airfield, a Podlet radar station, and two Pantsir-S1 systems, with damage levels being assessed. Russian officials confirmed a fire at an enterprise in Ryazan and downed around 30 drones in Rostov Oblast, reporting three injured, but did not confirm the military targets. The refinery has been repeatedly attacked by Ukrainian drones since the full-scale invasion.
