Zelensky Opens Third Round of Kyiv Talks With UK, France, Germany

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Sunday, Sept. 6, that talks with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner expanded into a third round, now joined by representatives from the UK, France, and Germany. Zelensky thanked the US envoys for their first official visit to Kyiv, fulfilling an earlier commitment, and confirmed two bilateral discussion panels were completed. He stressed all participants share the goal of ending the war through a just settlement that permanently prevents renewed Russian aggression. The multilateral consultations follow the envoys' arrival at Kyiv's central railway station, where they were welcomed by senior Ukrainian officials including Kyrylo Budanov and Rustem Umerov. A formal press briefing was scheduled for later in the day.
