Putin's Talks with US Envoys Constructive, Extremely Frank: Kremlin

Russian President Vladimir Putin held substantive, constructive and extremely frank talks with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Moscow, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said early Sunday, according to Russia's Tass news agency. The talks, which lasted three hours and 10 minutes, centred on serious issues including Ukraine, with Putin reiterating Moscow's willingness to work with the US towards political and diplomatic solutions. Ushakov said Russia presented its assessment of the situation, noting advances by its army and emphasising the need to eliminate root causes of the conflict. Economic issues and potential large-scale bilateral projects were also discussed. The US envoys agreed to convey Putin's observations to Kyiv during scheduled contacts the following day. Putin had earlier ordered a three-day pause in strikes against Kyiv ahead of the talks.
