US Officials Join Witkoff and Kushner on Moscow Visit

US officials from the White House National Security Council, State Department, and Treasury visited Moscow as part of a delegation accompanying presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Axios reported. The American officials joined Witkoff and Kushner to discuss proposals for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with them in the Kremlin, expressing readiness to share Russia's perspective on the situation. The US delegation arrived at Vnukovo airport and was met by Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund. President Donald Trump stated the visit's main goal was presenting settlement proposals to the Russian side.
