US invites Putin and Stubb to G20 summit in Miami

US President Marco Rubio announced Wednesday that the US has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit in Miami, alongside Finnish President Alexander Stubb, citing the need to engage with those holding differing views. Stubb confirmed he will attend and expressed hope that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would also participate, ideally leading to a three-way meeting with Trump, Putin, and Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy has previously stated he would be ready to meet Putin in Miami. However, uncertainty remains over Russia's participation. Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said no decision has been made on Putin's attendance, while foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov stated the matter has not even been discussed.
