Zelensky denies reports of tense meeting with von der Leyen

Zelensky said the meeting was well-prepared after prior phone discussions, with talks focusing on Ukraine's funding deficit caused by rising war costs. He also addressed European financing tied to laws passed by Ukraine's parliament, explaining it cannot operate normally under martial law. The leaders agreed to explore advancing funds from a second tranche, as Kyiv urgently needs money for drones. Zelensky added that European officials would consider how to accelerate the disbursement of part of the financial aid.
