Russian Missile Strikes on Kyiv Kill Two, Wound Six

Russian missile strikes on Kyiv killed at least two people and wounded six others early Thursday, following about twenty explosions reported before an air raid siren sounded. Ukraine's air force warned of Russian ballistic missiles targeting Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to shelter, noting possible people trapped under rubble in the Dniprovsky district. Odesa authorities also reported strikes. The attack follows Russian airstrikes that killed seven people in Ukraine on Wednesday. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told the UN Security Council Moscow will not pause the war. Kyiv, with about 3 million residents, faces intensified drone and missile assaults.
