Russian missile strike on Kyiv kills one, injures two

One person was killed and two others injured in a Russian missile attack on Kyiv, according to Ukrainian capital mayor Vitalij Klitsjko. The two wounded individuals are doctors. Klitsjko spoke after around ten powerful explosions shook the city early Thursday. Authorities had previously issued warnings about ballistic missiles heading toward Kyiv and the Chernihiv region. Hours earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyj addressed the UN General Assembly, calling Russia an existential threat. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in the UN Security Council that Russia will not pause its war against Ukraine. At least seven people were killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine on Wednesday.
