Russian missile attack on Kyiv kills one, injures two, damages buildings

A Russian ballistic missile attack on Kyiv overnight on September 24 killed one person and injured two others, with debris falling across several districts and damaging residential and non-residential buildings. Emergency services were called to multiple areas as explosions occurred in waves. The attack triggered air raid warnings due to a missile threat from Russia's Bryansk region. Debris struck non-residential buildings in Solomiansky and Podilsky districts, while in Dnipro district it hit courtyards of a 16-story building and a private home, plus an administrative building. A warehouse was damaged in Sviatoshynsky district, and a partial building collapse occurred in Dnipro district where people may be trapped. This followed a previous Russian attack on Kyiv on September 23 that killed at least two people and injured 45. The Center for Countering Disinformation had warned of Russia's preparation for a ballistic strike on Ukraine.
