Zelensky tells UN: Russia deceiving Indians into joining war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the UN General Assembly that Russia is deceiving Indian citizens into joining its war against Ukraine, urging countries not to let Moscow drag them into the conflict. Zelensky addressed representatives of at least 47 countries whose nationals are fighting in the war, asking them to protect their citizens. India's foreign ministry confirmed 227 Indians were recruited by Russian forces, with 51 killed and 139 discharged. Zelensky also called for restricting Russia's war finances, urging India, China, and Turkey to reduce energy trade with Moscow. He accused North Korea of sending troops to support Russia and warned Ukraine could target Russian energy facilities this winter.
