Iran's terms for reopening Strait of Hormuz passed to US envoy

The conditions include the immediate lifting of the US naval blockade, the release of Iranian assets, and an end to hostilities on all fronts. Earlier, President Donald Trump described a three-hour meeting between the two sides as "very good" and expressed optimism about a potential agreement. Trump called on leaders to pressure Iran in his UN address, saying he faces a decision on whether to "obliterate" Iran or make a deal. He deemed an agreement possible after November's midterm elections, reiterating that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons.
