Ukrainians warned of possible telecom outages as Russian strikes hit data centers

Ukrainians have been warned of possible communication outages due to Russian attacks on data centers, which are damaging telecom infrastructure and disrupting networks and services. The National Commission for State Regulation of Communications warned on Wednesday, September 23, that specialists are working to restore damaged infrastructure. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated Russia targets key data centers to cut off missile and drone warnings, calling it critical civilian infrastructure. The warning follows a massive Russian drone attack on Kyiv overnight and during the day on September 23, which hit gas stations, railway facilities, warehouses, a business center, and a market, killing at least two people.
