Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated there are currently no preconditions for returning to peace negotiations with Ukraine, according to Russian media. Peskov claimed the Kremlin remains open to talks but reiterated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could visit Moscow if he wishes, saying security guarantees would be provided. He added that Zelenskyy allegedly knows what decisions are needed for a meeting with Putin. Peskov also said a high-level meeting would be inappropriate before expert-level work is completed. Separately, Zelenskyy has urged US President Donald Trump to involve Chinese leader Xi Jinping in peace efforts, citing Xi's influence over Putin.
