Trump and Zelenskyy discuss de-escalation with Russia in New York

He also stated he is prepared for a trilateral meeting with Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov had previously rejected the proposal, citing a goal of comprehensive peace settlement. Zelenskyy described the Trump meeting as "positive and productive," adding both nations want the war to end before winter.
