Zelensky: Kyiv missile strike shows pressure on Russia not total

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said a Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv occurred while he was meeting with US lawmakers to discuss sanctions and air defense, calling the attack evidence that pressure on Russia is not yet total. The strike hit civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, energy and logistics, killing at least two people and injuring five others, with some people trapped in rubble. Zelensky said he discussed protection measures with US representatives and stressed the need for ballistic interceptors and stronger sanctions. Zelensky, currently in the United States, said Russia continues to rely on ballistic terror because it faces insufficient pressure. He thanked both US parties for their readiness to help protect lives, while Odesa was also attacked by drones, causing damage and fires.
