Russian drone attack on Kyiv kills one, injures eight

Russia launched a massive drone attack on Kyiv on Wednesday morning, killing at least one person and injuring eight others, according to Kyiv's mayor. The attack damaged warehouses, gas stations, a nine-story building, and railway lines. Russia's defense ministry confirmed the strike, claiming it targeted military-industrial facilities, logistics centers, and ships carrying military cargo. Moscow said it hit a drone warehouse and factory in Kyiv, as well as logistics centers in Odessa. Russia has recently adopted a tactic of launching waves of jet-powered drones over several hours to keep residents in shelters and create anxiety. These drones fly faster and higher than older models, making them harder to shoot down.
