Russian Strikes Kill 8 in Ukraine, Hit Dnipro Industrial Plant

At least eight people were killed in Ukraine on Tuesday in Russian strikes targeting industrial facilities and front-line areas, according to Ukrainian officials. The attacks occurred as President Volodymyr Zelensky met with US President Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly in New York. Ukrainian officials reported four deaths at an Interpipe facility in Dnipro, two in Kherson, one in Odesa, and one in the Donetsk region. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal accused Russian forces of deliberately targeting businesses, farms, and energy infrastructure, while Ukraine claimed to have struck Russian oil refineries in Ufa and Samara. Zelensky stated Kyiv was ready for any form of ceasefire agreement on energy targets, but clarified no discussion occurred on halting Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries. The strikes follow unconfirmed claims of a prior agreement between Moscow and Kyiv not to hit energy infrastructure.
