Russian strike on Kyiv kills two, damages maternity hospital

A Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv overnight killed two people and injured eight, according to Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko. The attack also damaged a maternity hospital. The strike hit multiple districts. In the Dneprovsky district, a private house was damaged with people possibly trapped under rubble. In the Podolsky district, missiles landed near a maternity hospital, damaging its facade and windows, and igniting cars, killing one person. A nearby clinical diagnostic center was also damaged. Ukraine's Air Force reported shooting down 227 missiles and drones across the country overnight. Warehouse buildings in the Solomensky district were partially destroyed, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service.
