Iranian President Accuses US and Israel of Terrorism at UN Assembly

Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian told the UN General Assembly on Wednesday that Iran is a victim of terrorism, referring to US and Israeli military strikes, and vowed the country will "never bow its head." Pezeshkian condemned the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as unjustified and illegal, and cited a February strike on a school that killed over 150 people, which a UN inquiry said was reasonably attributable to the US. He insisted Iran has never started a war. The president warned against using the Strait of Hormuz for aggression, saying Iran will not tolerate insecurity in the region. His visit is the first by a top Iranian official to US soil since the war began, with travel restrictions imposed by Washington.
