Iranian President at UN: US Terrorism Killed Khamenei and 150 Children

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told the UN General Assembly on Wednesday that Iranians have been "victims of terrorism" by the United States, citing the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the killing of 150 school children in US strikes. Pezeshkian displayed photos of Khamenei and the children during his address, saying Iran only defended itself with "utmost strength" after US and Israeli attacks. He warned President Donald Trump that Iranian resistance will grow with increased sanctions and pressure, and vowed to restrict Strait of Hormuz access against aggression. The US delegation walked out during Pezeshkian's speech. Trump had told the UN on Tuesday he was weighing whether to "annihilate" Iran, while also hailing renewed negotiations between the two countries.
